Sometimes, you may have a large list of filters you want to apply, like a list of 25 product names. You don’t have to type them all into the search bar or select them individually. You can enter the list in bulk into the filter box. This is useful when you want to select a large number of filter values from a very large list, particularly if a certain filter selection is made repeatedly.
In this Bulk Filter Demo, imagine you are a Sales Manager interested in the territories of Arizona, California, and Colorado.
You can see up here in the search bar that we are looking at wine sales, quantity, and customer state.
To add a bulk filter, first click and drag to select the values you want to filter on - in this case, Arizona, California, and Colorado.
Next, right-click and select “Copy to clipboard”.
At the column header, click on “Change configuration” and then click on “Add values in bulk”.
Paste the values (Ctrl + v) into the box. It is also possible to copy and paste values from other sources, like a spreadsheet or a list from an email, so long as they are separated by commas, semicolons, new line breaks, or tabs.
Learn to use Bulk Filters, so you can save time and make common searches more repeatable.
